It’s a wrap on my first ever fundraising campaign. I’m super excited to report that I raised just over $1700. I’m sure my doc and his team the Ovarian Blitzers will be overjoyed to receive this. I enjoyed the creative challenge of combining road hockey with fashion. I know i killed it!!!
Here are some highlights:
A mention and a feature from Ovarian Cancer Canada on World Ovarian Cancer Day. Honoured to stand with other fabulous women bringing awareness and raising funds for this disease.
I love how this before and after story turned out. Incorporating the hockey theme really stretched my creativity and imagination. Teal heels with hockey gear visually summed up the whole story.
If I make this a yearly thing (I totally want too!!!) I will be keeping my eye out for all things teal.
THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who supported this campaign!
1 year ago I started radiation treatment for Endo-Ovarian cancer. I also started #25days25looks to document my journey and put a positive spin on going to cancer treatment everyday. I wore this teal dress from Anthropologie to one of last appointments Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. I met so many great people there including my doc Marcus Bernardini and this collaboration between fashion and Road Hockey was born. On World Ovarian Cancer Day I’m fundraising for Marcus’ Ovarian Blitzers Road Hockey to conquer cancer team. Please help me reach my goal here.

It was 1 year ago when I started radiation treatment for Endo-ovarian cancer at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. I also started an awareness campaign 25 Days 25 Looks to show women that cancer diagnosis and treatment does not mean give up.
This year, to support World Ovarian Cancer Day (May 8) I’ve joined forces with the Ovarian Blitzers Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer Team to raise funds all week during TEAL FASHION WEEK.
Please help me reach my goal of $1200 so more women can overcome ovarian cancer. Donate here today.
Wear teal on May 8th or any day and tag your photo #tealfashionweek.
I’ve put together a capsule collection of some great teal looks for the week.

The Whole Look
For this final installment of flat lay spring I laid out some outfit choices. These are my favourite apparel colours because all of them work well together. Orange with navy, turquoise or grey is unexpected and I find it softer than red. It also is amazing with my skin tone.
This navy blazer in heavy pique cotton was a steal at $8 from Ann Taylor Factory Store. IT was on the clearance rack with additional mark downs. I love the polka dot lining! The skirt is also Ann Taylor and I bought it New York. The pattern is very graphic and surprisingly it goes with a lot because of the neutral beige background of the print. These turquoise jeans are my favourite for spring. They are Not Your Daughter’s Jeans and fit me perfectly. I have had them for a couple of years and they have slightly faded but also become super soft. The t-shirt is Joe Fresh and the print caught my eye because I just recently started pairing orange and grey.
Putting it all together
Here’s how the 3 installments look together. I’m wearing the taupe comfort sandals from Part 2 with this outfit.
