I love the idea of pieces that can shift from one season to next and these jeans are my latest acquisition in this category.

Kut from the Kloth jeans are available at Nordstrom. Funny story – I tried them on and didn’t like the fading on the butt so they called another store for me and to check the fading on other pairs and I ended up getting exactly what I wanted shipped directly to me. Best service at this store!! ❤

Spring Cool

For the chill that is Spring in the 6ix I’m wearing a peach long sleeve tee from JCrew and a denim jacket from Parasuco. My Toms desert boots keep my feet warm and this outfit from looking too wintery.

Summer Heat

When things heat up in the summer this kimono top from Italy with its zig-zag weave add visual interest to these jeans and make this look unique. My new Vince Camuto sandals finish it.

Transitional Jacket

The perfect transitional jacket is the bomber jacket. It has an edgy style and keeps you warm on chilly days. This jacket is a classic that originated from jackets bomber pilots wore. It is meant to have an oversized fit with a tight waist and cuffs.

Several designers showed this style for SS2016. My fav is the green and print camo style from Versace. There is also a corseted version from Balmain and an oversized long jacket from Rag & Bone. Because this jacket is a simple style the possibilities for designers to reinterpret it is endless.

There are several reasonable priced options available at H&M, Forever 21 and American Apparel. My fav is this printed jacket from American Apparel.

I had some fun (and challenges) creating this style out of paper. I chose this whimsical cat face patterned paper which I received for Christmas.

Transitional Boots

Another great transitional piece is open toe boots. here is a mini guide to take you from summer to fall in style.

My open toe boots are from Browns in Toronto. I love the cut-work and solid stacked heel. To transition to fall, layer a coloured sock for warmth and visual interest. For a solid leather boot a patterned sock would work great.

These boots make a bold statement when paired with a pencil skirt. They would also work well with a denim or boho skirt. Layer a coloured or pattern tight for warmth and visual interest later in fall.

These boots demand attention so a cropped trouser shows them off the best. Sheer sock or fishnet gives a little extra visual interest and some added warmth.
